I was born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island. I have spent the vast majority of my employment with Verizon (nee New York Telephone, NYNEX, Bell Atlantic) in the construction, installation and maintenance of outside plant facilities in Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland and Westchester Counties of New York. During that time I was also a Union Representative with the Communication Workers of America and worked to ensure the safety of my fellow workers. My Union involvement included fund raising for United Way and soliciting donations for New York Blood Services.

I have lived in Newtown with my wife Carol and our two children for almost seven years. We relocated to Newtown from New Jersey when Carol was transferred to Trumbull, CT with her company.

Last year, I retired from Verizon to devote my time to the care of our children. I have found being a full-time Dad to be very challenging but very rewarding. My goal is to take a larger role in developing our children to be their best and to model citizenship by participating in community efforts. Currently, I volunteer at St Rose School. Following in my father’s footsteps, I have been a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 40 years.

Recently, I was endorsed by The Independent Party of Newtown for The Board of Police Commissioners in the upcoming election. I view this as an opportunity to give back to Newtown and to work with the Police Department to ensure the safety of all Newtown Residents. Traffic calming is one of my top priorities. Having attended the vast majority of Commission meetings for a period of nearly two years I feel I am prepared to deal with the issues that are brought to the Commissioners. If elected I will uphold the high standards that have been set by the members of the seated Board.
