Born in Nairobi, Kenya and raised in England, I have lived and worked in a number of countries including Germany, Mexico and the Czech Republic. I was educated in the UK and obtained BSc and PhD degrees in Chemistry from London University before starting his Corporate Career with Unilever in 1987.

For 16 of my 24 years at Unilever I have held a number of Director-level positions in the Research & Development organization and am currently Operations Director at the Trumbull R&D Facility which employs ca 450 people and involves management of a significant annual budget.

I have lived in Sandy Hook, CT since August 2005.

After many years gaining valuable experience of different cultures, diverse populations and ways of life, my family and I decided to settle in the United States and I became a US citizen in 2009.

My wife, Donna, and I  have been married for 14 years. We have 13 year old twins – Nicholas and Marie who both attend Newtown Middle School. We are members of Trinity Church.

A keen sportsman, I have been involved in coaching Youth Cricket and Rugby for 15 years in the UK and more-recently, Youth Baseball in Newtown. I am a supporter of Newtown Cultural Arts, the Flagpole Radio Café and the Valentines for Troops project.

Having joined the Newtown Police Commission in 2011, I am a strong advocate of Traffic Calming in the town, Transparency in all aspects (and at all levels) of Government and continuity of the focus on Trust between Newtown Residents and their Police Dept.

These principles are fully aligned with the platform of the Independent Party (IPN), which is why I am running as an Independent. If elected in November I am committed to building these principles into an effective programme for the Police Commission to the benefit of all Newtown Residents.
